This Nice ER24SFR single-row radial ball bearing is double sealed and has a nylon cage and precision ground surfaces. It is suitable for applications that require a metric dimension outside diameter, as well as quiet operation and support for medium radial loads at speeds up to 5000 rpm. This through-hardened ASTM International 52100 bearing quality steel bearing has a 1.5000" bore diameter, an 80 mm outside diameter, and a 1.9375" width. It has an extended inner ring with set screws to improve shaft support and eliminate the need for location spacers and a snap ring in the groove in its outside diameter. Its inside (ID) and outside diameter (OD) surfaces and raceways are ground to a precision of +0.0000 and -0.0005", allowing higher speeds and creating lower friction than comparable-sized roller bearings. Low-friction synthetic rubber seals with steel shields on both sides of the bearing ride in a labyrinth groove to keep out contaminants such as dirt and grime and hold in the lubricant applied at manufacture. This bearing has a straight bore for fitting to conventional cylindrical shafts and a nylon cage to prevent the balls from coming into contact with each other during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise.
